SIX DAYS ON THE ROAD DAY 3 PART 3 FORD MODEL A COLLECTION

Come on we are only half through the six day road trip, check out the previous days!!
Being hosted in a private collection is always worth the trip!!
Jordan Beller in Romeoville Illinois has been collecting for many years!
You are probably saying so it is just a really organized parts warehouse?
You are looking at a treasure trove of Ford Model A car and AA truck parts, look carefully!

Model A's were built from 1927-1931
Well over 3 million Model A's were built, there is a reason Ford is still strong today!

You can suddenly make out Model A bodies mixed in there
I could have shot a whole blog on the signage that Dr. Beller collects!

There seems to be no limit to variations when it comes to trucks, remember necessity is the mother of invention as you could not just order from a catalogue back then

A little out of character here is a Model AA street rod bus project

Out of the shop and into the collection!

A Chevy? with 67,000 miles

It is crazy to see a running unrestored Model A with all it's patina in place

Home made pick up

Old phone company repair truck

US Mail although painted for a movie

This truck is graciously stored here for the Model A club and all members help maintain it and can drive it as well

The all original runner I just spoke about is not as impressive as this all original 29,000 mile unrestored Model A

You might notice the engine does not resemble a flathead anymore with some old school speed mods

These are very rare pickups and there are 4 here!

Home built work horse

Now lets wander through the vintage museum of speed equipment, licensed by Chrysler?

Weiand
Cragar

overhead cam conversion
This next one reported to be completely useless was carved from a solid block of aluminum with a HEMI theme and borrowed Ardun valve cover!

The equilizer
Some of this stuff is crazy!

Look at this, one mans passion and I love it!

Very rare Mack pick up truck

This, just as it sits here was a daily drive once for Dr. Beller

"Doodle Bug" home made tractors were common, but the detail on this one is crazy!

The engine number back then was the "vin' number and when you replaced the engine you got a new "vin" number tag and it is rare to see one affixed to the vehicle

Tandem rear axle kit included a chassis extension!

Dump body with home made system including a second transmission mounted sideways, shift to reverse it went down, you got the idea!

Junk yard dog

Tow boom went through a differential and tranny from ,you guessed yet?

In typical junkyard fashion, tin roof and replacement glass!

So transfer case sent to power to # added drive axle

A fantastic collection and CARHUNTER was honored to take a tour, now I want a Model A!
Hey this ain't a Ford!
Stay tuned day 4 is exciting I promise!
