DO YOU HAVE CABIN FEVER?, THE SHARK KUSTOM, STUDEBAKER PHONE BOOTH,

Yes even the CARHUNTER gets cabin fever and just in time the Cabin Fever Car show arrived in Knoxville!
Just sit back and get primed for the car show season!

A Camaro Type LT

Hard to believe this is about 30 years old!
A fan?
It's all MOPAR and all patina

Yes honey, its a HEMI

YOU TALKING TO ME
A Toyota with a TOY motor?

A small block Ford surprised me!

A pair of early Trans Am's, a survivor and a resto

This Studebaker made the show, but as transportation.
Are you ready for car show season yet?

I goofed and the Detroit Autorama hit the same day I posted the newest blog
I have added the first link to the finalists for 2019
The CARHUNTER pick for the 2019 Ridler is

CARHUNTERS opinion is if it would draw my attention from across the show then it is a winner!
Let's see if I pick it this year after a dry streak?

Look in the sky it's a Shark, it's a Star Car, it's a Moonbird!
You caught me it's a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, well it was!
Darryl Starbird is probably my favorite Kustom Car Builder and he took an unsuspecting 57 Caddy and changed it's life forever, or did he? Say hello to the Shark!
He did not want the Caddy chrome and trim to be removed which would have lost it's identity. Have you noticed the major windshield change and chopped roof yet?

Cha Cha Changes and the roof has been sent packing! This version was referred to at least once as the Star Car
The king of bubble tops will prevail and the Caddy suddenly grew a dome roof which Starbird is famous for! Now it's the Moonbird?
Where's the caddy?
Did you really think CARHUNTER was going to allow you to depart before you finished your vegetables?
Some more 57 Caddy Customs starting with a Rick Dore creation

Ok move along nothing else to see here!

Or is it

Very stylish or not

It is amazing how many prototypes are sitting in the Studebaker Museum
Ok fess up how many knew this familiar sight of a Mail truck were Studebakers?

Did you know Studebaker built over the road trucks of every type?

With all these ads and choices you would think we would still seeing new Studebakers!

Love this bus with Studebaker grille so prominent

Hey this is not a truck!
The secret is out they took a Lark body cut it off and made cab back panel wall mounted on a truck chassis. Notice the relocated bumper.
Even made a stepside
Secret #2, don't tell anyone these were left over Dodge truck beds and Studebaker just made  a tailgate.

You can see body lines to the cab were not even distant cousins.
Remember keep this one a secret, don't tell anyone!
Barney Fife said that a lot!
Don Knott's was part of the conspiracy as evident with his Dodge truck ads that soon showed up! LOL! He knew all the secrets!

I can only assume this craigslist ad was posted to alert all those rocket scientists that place an ad with no contact info or don't monitor emails. Damn no one is buying my car, well they can't find you Einstein! I have seen many craigslist ads with no contact info or the guy does not check his emails so I can't buy it and they can't sell it!
Again as posted;
