AND NOW THE FAMOUS DEORA SHOW TRUCK
The Dodge Deora is one of those famous customs we all know well.
It started as a 1967 Dodge A100.
These van based pickups were popular and that's our theme for the month, commonly know as forward control vehicles!
Let's just look at the Deora here.
Meet the Alexander Brothers. Larry and Mike.
The Alexandria never showed up again.
The Deora remains one of the most famous custom vehicles built and the greatest example of skill and engineering!
Was painted Black some time in its life span.
Australian Deora II
This one started as a 54 Fargo truck, Dodges twin brother in some countries.
Deora II alive and waiting a full resto.
The 54 Fargo
A very ambitious project below a replica Deora!
Greatest form of flattery is to copy ones creations!
A few years later Ford presented this crazy concept.
66-67 Ranger II
The roof would slide back and 2 more seats would mysteriously appear making it the first extended cab truck!
Then there was the Ford Nucleon, yes that is a small Nuclear Reactor in the "bed?"
Can you imagine nuclear powered cars?
Hot Wheels came up with a modern Deora II.
Many toys, models and even of Course a lego Deora were released.
Notice the added camper and full van targa roof versions!
