2026 DETROIT AUTORAMA DO I EVEN BOTHER TO PICK THE GREAT 8?

CARHUNTER ONCE AGAIN HAS NOT MADE IT TO THE DETROIT AUTORAMA!

Let's give it a try again, honestly, I am not thrilled at the choices although really nice builds it seems over the last few years the focus is slipping away!

Not one street rod, cars in the 30's and 40's not represented at all. Am I correct that the Tri-5 Chevy is always a pick or two?

CARHUNTER is leaning towards the 56 Chevy convertible and anyone who knows me can testify to the shock of that!

The 68 C10 and the Studebaker are in the top three in my opinion!

2026 BASF Great 8 Finalist for Meguiar’s Ridler Award
Bruce Burns from Vancouver, BC - 1956 Chevrolet Nomad
Ryan Bruinsma from Lowell, IN - 1959 Cadillac
Kevin & Wendy Flondor from Mokena, IL - 1968 Chevrolet C-10
Jim Niedecken from Ottoville, OH - 1953 Studebaker
Richard Jacobs from Allentown, PA - 1968 Cadillac
George Conrad from Huron, OH - 1960 Ford Convertible
Rex Satterfield from Russellville, TX -1956 Chevrolet Convertible
Jim Curtis from Middleburgh, OH - 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

The Nomad is pretty

I can help but think we have been down this Caddy path before?

Many tricks on the C10, although it has a predictable theme often seen

I would be drawn to this Twin-Turbo? Studebaker from a dstance!

I am going to try and be kind on this pick, but it is hard when this Caddy has so many mundane features

This Ford just looks like a nice driver car

Although they have been done to death, in a glance the details are impressive!

Just another nice Corvette?

What has happened to custom body creations and full builds on street rods, we will see?
I might do an update later if I can see more details of each car.
