I am going to post a few extra blogs to catch up a bit! So far the email reminders are still being sent so just type your email address up above and confirm the email, but check back for the newest CARHUNTER!
Cartersville Georgia, a site is picked to build another museum in the area and they find this Plymouth Savoy on the property long forgotten!
Yikes!
The interesting part is they were building a new Automobile Museum!
December 8th 2021 the New Savoy Automobile Museum is opened and CARHUNTER wasted no time heading down US411 right to the new museum! Named for that Savoy found on the property!
Part of the areas Museum network!
There will be rotating exhibits, car shows, cruise ins and events coming on the large grounds of the museum
They kept with that old standard, every museum worth it's weight in engine oil has a curved dash Olds- they reproduced replicas years ago
It's a replica of Georgia Tech's Ramblin Wreck!
1st car you see inside is Dicky Landy's HEMI pro stock!

Ironic; one museum closes as one is born!
CARHUNTER enjoyed many visits to a great collection of rare muscle cars.
As the museum closed it's door forever on October 31st the owner Floyd Garrett passed away.
GODSPEED has never been a more correct statement!
RIP FLOYD!
These photos were from CARHUNTER'S last visit in October 2021, quite a few cars already were heading home from the museum in Sevierville Tennessee
Had a chance last week to say goodbye one last time as the museum was being emptied
One by one the cars are being removed, I wish everyone had the chance to see the collection and museum!
Very, very sad to see these museum closures. Loss of an era.
