YEAH IT'S PIGEON FORGE ROD RUN AGAIN!

It was a big turnout and as usual some crazy stuff showed up!

First let me conduct a spelling lesson since oddly enough there was a perfect example of each at the Rod Run, follow along;

NOVA

OMEGA

VENTURA

APPOLO

All through the GM line following Chevy, Olds, Pontiac and Buick eventually added their version of the Nova now take the 1st letter of each car and it spells N O V A; Nova, Omega, Ventura and Apollo! Too bad Caddy did not add one it could have been named Saturn and spelled out NOVAS!

Now I want to take one of the 4 doors and make it a Caddy luxury verion with leather and all the proper badging!

Hold on! There was a Caddy in 1975 called the Seville which sat on the X platform so there is the S to complete N O V A S!! The car eventually was called the K platform because so many changes occured.

Do you see a NOVA in there from the next series?

There is a major problem here and since I can edit any comments people make or ignore them I will once again

There was a major assault on the rod run by kids in lifted diesel black smoke blowing trucks this time, They seemed to have made a mission to come ignoring A- this a really a rod run for cars and B- law enforcement has taken a serious front to summons every violation from the code book about tinted windows, bumper height, etc.. Proudly posting photos of the traffic stops, tickets and showing how they were side lined told they can not drive the truck home on the road.

In response they have found theor way on to every facebook page cursing at and insulting all other rod run attendees as disrespectful as they possibly can muster up!

Favorite comment, they questioned what a State Trooper from the Tennessee Highway Patrol was doing in the Pigeon Forge City limits, enough said about the mindset of these kids??

I did take some photos of some of them just amazed at the amount of work put into them, but this will eventually end the rod run.

Why someone does not have the ability to have a weekend long monster truck show like the Bronco show at the end of this blog just amazes me instead of going out of their way to cause problems!

So do any of you know this old Discovery Channel show, I never saw it, never noticed the trailer before at the run, but have seen his rides for years in the same place every year!
