I am not sure why because the CARHUNTER just is not a Corvette guy, but I keep winding up at Corvette gatherings!
Ok I was bored and it was a nice day and nearby.

Corvette Expo in Pigeon Forge is mostly a gathering of rather new Corvettes
Every once a while an old one pops in
I am a fan of the C7 Corvette, but I paid to look at them!!
This hints of national club gatherings and usually congregate in various locations over a week or weekend.
During the course of the "meet" the cars usually come together for people to see them at various points.

Get the idea yet?
You got to pace yourself!
It forces people to really stretch to stand out!
I thought it was an empty parking spot until I saw the red calipers, damn camouflage!
It's like a drive in movie of him in his car!
A classic!
Another, nah all mod!
Some nice ones being judged
This one is cool the most original and highest mileage documented Vette!
Another survivor!
This is cool!
It is not what it appears
This I like!
A blast from the show car past!
It was billed as a Chevelle event too!
Recent calculations confirm 25% of cars at most shows are Chevelle's anyway! Inside joke!

Green interior and brown top, color blind guy that ordered cars for inventory at the dealership?
Every event organized by this group never follows a theme through!
Anyone who wants to pay can be in the building display even it is not adhering to the theme?

Is that Tim The Milkman?
As long as you pay you can stay
Here is a man with a set, of Hemi Heads, in a Corvette Show?
That's different, although it is not a Corvette or Chevelle?
This is hard to explain so click on the link, kind of like a Marshall in some Northern States?
I found him, Waldo!!!!
This is a CARHUNTER rant as we all see this view on a weekly basis maybe more frequently.
The federal Government is very environmentally concerned about gas vapor leakage and waste of gas since it is such a precious disappearing commodity!
There are 3 million gals per day consumed in the USA
Check that gas cap for leakage as part of many emission inspections!!
Closed emission systems, we must be GREEN!
Closed emission systems, we must be GREEN!
I have been obsessed with the fact that no matter how hard I try to drain every last drop from that nozzle before I remove it from my filler neck I always see 1-4 drops of gas from this evil device as I place it back on the pump. There are 10,700 stand alone gas stations in this country and doing some quick math averaging about 6 pumps per station only, rough figures per hour and only during a 12 hour daytime period CARHUNTER says over 3 million gallons each day sounds correct.
Some more boring and underestimated math says there is at least 12,000++++ gallons of gas wasted every year only because of 1 single drop of gas out of the nozzle and how much vapor into our atmosphere?
That fuel vapor evaporates into the air, correct?
Factor in spills and multiple drops and it boggles the mind it could be 3 times that amount or more!
Our Government once again proves how inept they are, all they have to do is put a shut off valve in the nozzle.
Speaking of being Green, it is common knowledge that green is associated with DIESEL Fuel - a green sticker is on the fuel tanks of trucks if Diesel, sometimes a green cap and when you gas up the pump handle and labeling is green.
Except when you go to a BP gas station where green is regular and black is Diesel! They refuse to change this and I know for a fact several people who actually got the Diesel nozzle into the filler neck of a new gasoline car, They say it can't be done- FALSE it can be done! BP = British Petroleum, don't they drive on the other side of the road also across the pond?
BP= Bad pump?
BP= Bad pump?
A Nebraska State Trooper rolls up on a double parked car obviously buried from the last snow fall.
Only to find there is no car, only snow, big deal you made a snow man and this family made a Snow Mustang
Sharp eyes readers noticed a real Mustang in the garage with a cannon displayed near the garage!
The Trooper did issue a ticket, but I guess for dumping snow in the roadway?
C8 MID-ENGINE CORVETTE ON THE WAY!
OLD NEWS FOLKS!
I almost sorry I started this one as the CARHUNTER was overwhelmed with mixed info and I think you get the point that a Corvette with an engine not found in the front has been kicking the dust around at GM design studios for almost 60 years!
1959 XP 719 REAR ENGINE
1964 XP-819 Rear Engine Concept
CARHUNTER bumped into the body being restored in a secret location!
CARHUNTER also bumped into the restored chassis at least twice as well!
1967 AstroVette I
Somewhere I think the Corvair and Corvette got into bed a few times with a blurry offspring or two!
And now the mid-engine line up;
1968 AstroVette II XP-880
1970 Aerovette XP882
Like many concepts this last one found it's way into a model car box or two!
I always wanted this, but it was larger 1/18 scale- headlined as a 1980 Corvette!
I guess the 1/25 version slipped by me as I stopped building model cars

1972 OR 1973 XP 897 GT Two Rotor rotary
1973 XP 895 Reynolds Aluminum body
All of these were mid-engine!
I bet you spotted designs that would up on future Corvettes!
1986 Indy Corvette Concept mid engine
1990 Corvette CERV III mid-engine
GM is for some reason hiding and delaying the C8 Mid-Engine unveiling, it might correspond with a big event. maybe the 25th Anniversary of the Corvette Museum in August 2019 which is across the road from the Corvette Plant in Bowling Green Kentucky?
What will the mid-engine next generation C8 Corvette look like?
It will look like these barely disguised prototypes not so secretly being driven around!
They even caught one broken down, rumors of electrical failures have been posted as well!
I guess we will see the C8 Corvette eventually and it is a 2020 model so stand by!

ONLY ONE OF MY FRIENDS GUESSED IT, BUT DID YOU READ THE ARTICLE ALL THE WAY?
APRIL FOOLS!!!!
More Corvettes!!!
We all remember this one from the movie!
Does that steering wheel keep moving?
It was converted to right hand drive using Harley Davidson chains to link over onto the original column! Why was this done so the hunk (mark Hamill) behind the relocated steering wheel could be better positioned to pick up "chicks" in this case a hooker played by Annie Potts.
