I have looked back on the "stats" the more recent posts have received some views and I admit they have been more of just photos because many said "too much to read". Blogger changed the way views are shown and now it shows some posts from years ago are still being viewed and shared apparently!
Last month approx. 3000 views, but that months post had under 100 views.
Some of the posts have 1000's of views, in some cases 6000 and still going on a post that is many years old!
Tell us what you like, more comprehensive stories or more photos. Yes some had said too many photos, some too much to read! I can sit down do a search and figure it out but why not send CARHUNTER a little encouragement?

CARHUNTER often ponders why some cars are included in the MOPAR family, for example an AMC Gremlin! You younger folk can google one!! Yes they used a Chrysler transmission, but having been a parts manager at an AMC/Jeep dealer back in the day I can clearly assure you there were more GM parts in the cars. To say "just because" many years later some part of a manufacturer was purchased by Chrysler is now MOPAR is just off kilter! The new owners are Fiat so are all Fiats MOPARS? Let's not even discuss the Daimler Benz link here, using this formula Hudson's are Fiats!! Say hello to the 1955-1957 Powell Sport Wagon, oddly although they made a wagon most were pickup trucks, estimated 1200 while only 300 wagons were built.
An innovation was sliding compartments to stow your fishing poles and gear, but even more interesting was the continuous body which Ford used later as a unibody pickup staying away from the conventional cab with separate bed

OK OK you been wondering did CARHUNTER lose it?
This is the strange part; all Powell vehicles were built using 15 year old junked Plymouth chassis/drivetrains! Unclear if they actually rebuilt everything or as needed so you bought a new Powell Sport Wagon on an already old chassis!!
As the supplies were getting scarce they used different year MOPAR donors with a 117" wheelbase. They started with a 201 CI flathead 6, but some wound up with Dodge and Chrysler engines of larger displacement. From the drivers seat you were looking at the MOPAR instrument cluster and a Henry J steering wheel!
As usual there was much more to the story to the Powell Manufacturing Company!
They started making radios
A Powel Cathedral style "Midget" of the 1930's
In the late 40's PMC started to build scooters that used a single Ford flathead V8 piston

In the 70's they returned with a Challenger motor bike

This would have been a great one, an open sport utility vehicle, did Powell invent the SUV?

MY CAR WON'T TURN OVER!!
I think that would be a good thing!!
I dare you to come up with a real answer because as far as I know either a car will not crank or cranks and does not start so where does Turn Over fit in?
I have been a Service Writer and heard this "Turn Over" many times!
My first question is does the car crank when you turn the key?
NO?
Now we know where to begin, it's gotta crank to start!
Oh it cranks and does not start now we move to the next diagnostics!
I have heard won't turn over used for both these conditions and don't even insinuate you have an answer, again I dare you go on the internet and look up car won't turn over!
Go ahead, I'll wait!
When questioned after saying "it won't turn over" people will explain they turned the key and heard a noise and when questioned more it was the engine cranking or "turning"!

In reality turning over means the car won't crank the engine or turn the engine, but many, many times I have heard it to explain an engine that is cranking, but not starting!
For 2021 I will bring a Bill, no not that one, but to Capitol Hill to get a LAW passed that the TERM; "TURN OVER" WILL be illegal to use when speaking about a car! What the heck they want to make some words illegal to say!

CONTACT!!
We all heard a pilot yell CONTACT and I have actually yelled it while working on a car with a friend under the hood!
What does it mean?
Early propeller planes needed a ground crew to turn the prop for the engine to turn over, OH NO there it is again, LOL!!
Some would require the engine to be turned (over) as a method of priming the engine, this was done with the switch off, electrical contacts OPEN - ah ha!
Now the pilot turns that switch on and makes contact so he yells CONTACT which means if the prop is turned or turning the engine over it may start!
The magneto's have been switched on!
Notice the crew is working as a team to pull away from the the propeller because this puppy is going to start after it TURNS OVER!
You don't want top be near that prop when it starts!
Once aircraft were equipped with their own starters CONTACT meant CLEAR the propellers because the engine is about to TURN OVER or is that start?
