ATTENTION THIS MEANS THERE WAS A PART 1 AND 2 LOOK TO THE RIGHT FOR LINKS
HINT- THEY ARE BOTH LAST MONTH IN MAY
LOOK AT THEM WILL YA!
LOOK AT THEM WILL YA!
OK so Mopars on Monday AGAIN we will return to Wednesday next week!
Did I mention what MOPAR means?
It was Chrysler's nickname for Motor Parts, the parts replacement line MO- PAR and became the nickname for any Chrysler,Plymouth,Dodge,Desoto or Imperial vehicle!
Fiat who now owns Chrysler has declared MOPAR is not to be used in connection with the vehicle line anymore!
B Bodies as we call em were in high numbers
I was intrigued by this as it was real Twister, many folks don't get it that Twister's were only available as a 318 or slant 6 - they looked like a 340 including the shark tooth grille 1st year 71.
Why? Because insurance was cheaper if it was not a 340 HP!
This car was a 225 slant now a big block?! Check out those fenderwell headers
One more guy lists a 340 as a Twister because the stripe is the same I am gonna freak out!
All American racer
This is a real AAR Cuda and the added Air Conditioning is killing me, these are true collector cars legit $60k-$70k cars
Electronic ignition too, cool fact only MOPAR built with larger rear tires from day 1, Engines only 340 with 3 2bbl carbs, rough fiberglass hoods, performance suspension and crazy side exhaust exits in front of rear wheels. Note the additional fender tag with "TRANS AM" on it
AAR Cuda's and Challenger T/A's were very limited production in 1970 to mimic the SCCA race series.
Below, although retro restored cars shows the Chrysler,GM,Ford and AMC factory sponsored cars in the Trans AM road racing series 68-71 were the hot years that the US makers went head to head.
The number 77 car was Dan Gurney's Challenger T/A and his most popular car that he never won a race in! All the American makers pulled sponsorship in 1971 except AMC.
Lots of left and RIGHT turns! AAR was All American Racers
I was always confused that almost every E Body convertible has A/C? This one did!
I want this early B body 63 Plymouth grocery grabber
It was perfect with a dual 4bbl 392 early firepower HEMI
Ah what the heck, it's just a 4 door
Nice B5 blue 71 charger R/T
Keep the MOPAR all MOPAR
BIG BLOCK!
Needs wider tires?
ONE WORD
HEMI
Holy Turbo Teddy!
Look at the size of that Turbo
Now that you got your MOPAR fix, you know who you are, don't whine if you see a Ferrari here one week or else!
