NATIONAL STREET ROD ASSOCIATION 50TH SOUTHERN NATIONALS

Every year it seem like 2 things are going to happen; RAIN and FEWER CARS!

For some odd reason the participation from locals here in East Tennessee gets lower and lower every year, seems they rather sit in a parking lot show and pay $25 5-10 times a year than attend a near by large show!

Anyway we start off with the Kick Off party at Scotts Hot Rods, FYI many just attend this free event and have no intention of attending the Nationals right in Knoxville as well!

Iam guilty of not bringing a car to the Kick off party and fed up with the constant rain just ran over to take photos at the nationals without an old car.

We start off with my friend Merle Sams 39 Chevy

Caught ya Merle!

Anotehr friend George, who built the entire truck and painted as well

Looks like a Wurlitzer Organ

This was at host hotel where they make you go for the show credentials, another silly thing, if you live lcoal you have to drive into heavy Knoxville traffic to get your passes!

My friend Glenn See of the Garaj Mahal is about to paint this beauty

Back to Scotts obviously, LOL

Seems a little familiar, never mind!

Bought my trailer from this retire PD Sgt from California

Looks like rain as usual at the show!

If you stick a chair here you will get every car, it is the only entrance single file!

A lot more to this 54 Plymouth Savoy than you think, including a Chevy roof! This one gets little attention here as it is not a Tri-5 Chevy, maybe he should have used a 55 Chevy roof!

The entire vendors mid-way, sad!

Local Knoxville friends car that has everything right!

007?

This is a real lost and found custom from back in the 60's, folks just walk right on by, well it ain't a tri-5 lol!

Coolest color combo Chevelle ever!

Sorry I love VW's, but don't get them at street rod shows, about 7 local VW shows a year here!

This takes the cake, cool that it is an old survior, but at a street rod show?

Smart to be protected

Well I got one 38 Plymouth

Thia duo has been in red oxide primer as long as I can recall, they must do a lot of touch up

Oh come on already!

I know I shot this 3-4 times, but I like it

The duck looks angry, like an old man trying to send soup back!

And the swa meet, yeah I left off the P because it is a small turnout

Model show!

Again?

A littlke more detail, like check out the dash

Rain and plenty of parking spots

?

Local insisted on putting a Ford in a Chevy

Down to 2 days will it return for 2025, I think not!
