You can turn a blind eye to how this show has been dropping off over the last years. CARHUNTER has heard every excuse; They say the staff of the NSRA is nasty and hard to get a long with, but all the other events are still rolling along so not a valid reason. The swap meet is too small, well it is 2023 and the sources via the internet, ebay and mail order to buy parts with free shipping are almost unlimited. The worst offenders of not supporting this show are the locals in my opinion. The show is in Knoxville, East Tennessee and this area has some of the largest count of street rods in the country, but there seems to be a larger drive to attend small "parking lot" local car shows for a $20-$25 average registration fees while complaining that a yearly membership to the NSRA which includes a full color magazine and 2 full access 3 day passes for 2 for under $80 is too much, never mind you get discounts to other NSRA events!
The future looks bad because you can look forward to traveling miles to out of state shows with hotel fees, but attending 5-10 local $20 shows to see cars you see at every free cruise in is more attractive?
Maybe there is more that I do not know about Vendor Set Up fees which is driving them off or is the low attendance making it not cost effective for them to come?
Toss out all the whining complaints and just make it the big show it used to be, I can dream right?
RANT OVER, but I have an issue with the current SD card these were on as the entire photo group was posted in reverse order that it was arranged , sorry!
Cool rides
