After a delay back in 2020 because of Covid it returned to that May/June slot and some of these were shot at the registration location which has moved again!
THIS ONCE AGAIN IS IMPORTANT - IF YOU WERE RECIEVING THE EMAIL REMINDERS EVERY MONTH THIS MAY BE THE LAST ONE OR JUNE WAS THE LAST ONE I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THAT!
THE BLOG WILL BE HERE YOU JUST NEED TO SAVE IT AND CHECK BACK MONTHLY FOR NEW ONES
Long time CARHUNTER followers may have also noticed lately has become more of a photo essay than previous features. I am going to ask opinions and you can email me directly or send a comment; DO YOU WANT MORE FEATURE ARTICLES AND HISTORY?
I can see the stats and I am getting larger post views of previous more intense detailed blogs with stories, without feedback I am not sure what you want? I am going to try and do a more detailed blog next month, but the fact of the matter is right now I have a giant back log of photos from recent events that I want to share- FEEDBACK welcomed and you don't have to ID yourself to send it.
Then a short hop to Scotts Hot Rods for the welcome open house!
Just going to let teh photos speak for themselves!
Scotts always has some neat projects underway!
I have noticed a definate uptick in the appearance of my favorite era MOPARS as with this 1938 Plymouth chopped top on a Dodge Dakota Frame
And here we go day one of the Nationals!
Many people complained it cost too much, but in reality you get 3 day unlimited come and go access for 2 adults, a good amount of free children passes with a 1 year suscription to a full color magazine and that is $75 which includes a 1 year membership to the NSRA. that also gives you discounts to any other NSRA event nationally!
If you don't support this event in Knoxville it will be gone and then you will complain you have to drive out of state for major events!
Funny how some people are happy to pay for a car show in a local parking lot $20-$30 - I am going on my soap box right now; why are only the car owners being charged to bring their cars to small local car shows, I have seen spectators free and vendors free, but the car owners who make the show possible, who spend money out of their pocket the only ones being charged a fee? I see sponsors and in reality what expenses are being incurred by the organizers of a car show in a public parking lot or their own property? You may say insurance, well I have seen a trend of making the car owners sign a release of laibility which is just nonsense, you invited people someplace and collected money YOU are libel period so you may get a surprise if something happens! Local car shows, seems trophies go to friends and relatives and they should be sponsored by the local business folks anyway.
